Med/Surg-ICU Clinical Charge RN -
Clinical Charge Nurse for Med/Surg & ICU supports leadership provided by the Med/Surg & ICU Nurse Manager by assisting in the improvement, maintenance and delivery of patient care processes. The Clinical Charge Nurse will assume delegated responsibilities from the Nurse Manager for the implementation of daily operations. The Clinical Charge Nurse works in a supportive manner and as a resource to the Med/Surg & ICU staff and as a representative for the Nurse Manager. This position requires:
- AZ RN License
- BSN or currently completing a BSN program preferred.
- Current CPR, ACLS and PALS (ACLS and PALS may be obtained within the first 6 months).
The Clinical Charge RN must be able to interact effectively with co-workers, patients/family, physicians and other hospital personnel. Typically a work week will consist of two 12 hour staff shifts and two 8 hour Clinical Charge days. Some 12 hour staff shifts may occur on weekends, nights and holidays. This position requires the ability to be on 24 hour call in the absence of or on a rotating basis with the Nurse Manager.
